We have heard of Laila Majnu..
We have heard of Soni Mahival..
We have heard of Heer Ranjha..
Now starts the Legend of Jodha Akbar...
Ash is back with Ash and Hrithik creating a
historic extravaganza. This time it has been
concentrated on an eternal love story.
This is the years first grand release .
The challenging role of Akbar has been
well portrayed by Hrithik Roshan.
Ashwarya Rai Bachchan is indeed magnificent
as none could have made the role more
appealing than her. She looked sensational
in the movie after all she is Miss World in reality.
The rumors and controversy all over about the sidelined
characterization of Jodha is actually false. The role
is well justified in the script and of course well
delivered by Ash.The chemistry between Ash
and Hrithik is awesome and is the punch of the movie
The battle scenes are made well but during the first
half hour the Cinematography and especially Editing
lacked their charm. The supporting cast actually did
quite well as a whole and the dialogues were
forcefully delivered. The background score is in
coordination with the continuity of the motion picture.
A R Rahman's music is as usual serene.
Ashutosh has done a good job but not the best.
The film is projected as a love story and is indeed
a love story . The historic realities should not be
expected in proper proportions as it would disappoint.
take it to be a love story.. only a love story.
Kehne ko jasne bahara hai... is smooth and
pictured with dignity. Ajeemoshan Shehenshah !
is tremendous and the cinematography during the
entire song is praiseworthy. Intimate scenes are
screened wonderfully with complete genuineness.
If one would watch it more than once is only because of
the chemistry which is definitely of great caliber.
Verdict Time :
Rating -> 6.0 / 10
Ash fans take it to be 7.5 as she had
done a wonderful job. After all now
Jodha Akbar is made as a legend for
