Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films
presents
a Rajkumar Hirani film
3 idiots
The year was coming to an unsatisfactory end
when 3 idiots emerged out of nowhere,
breaking all doors with a blast !!!
They came with fresh ideas,
They came with laughter,
They came with intensity,
They came with a message,
and above all they came with a hope.
A hope for the lost youth..
A hope for the lost minds..
A hope for a new beginning…
Every year Bollywood brings a number of flicks.
Many of them come, pass and vanish as you carry on and on.. But some make you stop.. make you question.. they make you think.
This roller coaster from Rajkumar Hirani comes with very well-timed and enlightening comedy, blending score and crafty editing. The screenplay is absolutely brilliant and all credits goes to Abhjat Joshi for his efforts. It is rarely that we see such awesome screenplay with stunning film-making. This deadly combination is the main reason for such tremendous appeal and applause from audiences throughout the country.
Shantanu's music is touching and complementing the poignant lyrics from Swanand Kirkire. The song "Give me some sunshine..." is a new revelation.
Its the new slogan for the youth...
"Give me some sunshine..
Give me some rain..
Give me another chance..
I wanna grow up once again..."
All other songs are good and perfectly timed. The timing is so great in some places that it becomes flawless.
This is a story of friendship and bonding
with simple elements from our own lives. Almost the entire cast performed well.
Aamir Khan the magician is back and recreates magic again. The more he is aging the younger he is becoming.. Its surprising. Sharman has given a very good performance along with Madhavan and Kareena aswell.
The picturization of the song "Zoobi doobi..." is absolutely fantastic.
Now as for the verdict.. Rating:-> 9 / 10
The rating may seem miscalculated but I have to say it deserves the praise. A great piece of cinema as this is very rare in Bollywood. It only appears once or at max twice a year. For hardcore Aamir fans a straight ten, the portrayal was so young and youthful it even makes me wonder how can a person in mid forties play the role of a undergraduate so comfortably and with such bright expressions.
The film has made a revolutionary opening of 175 crore and with all my heart I say it deserves all of it. The only disappointment was the overacting of Boman Irani it irritated in various places. I still don’t understand why Hirani always casts him. And don't forget to watch it with your family and friends.
Special Request:- This movie should be screened in all Engineering Colleges of our country. The youth should understand the choices that will affect their whole life.

Review of Dev. D
UTV Motion Pictures Presents
DEV D...
a film by Anurag Kashyap
Bollywood has marched this year with a bang with the
sensational Dev. D.
A genuine revelation by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
The movie Dev D is what we call contemporary cinematic experience.
It is one of the flicks with technical brilliance. Dev.D is half a decade ahead of Bollywood in terms of movie making. Beginning with the outstanding Direction , contemporary Screenplay, thrilling Background Score, dazzling Visual Effects , extra ordinary Cinematography and rebellious Art Designing all are in tremendous coordination with the helter-skelter content of the concept.
The Sound Mixing is absolutely stunning and first of its kind in Bollywood.
Both the Score and Music by Amit Trivedi is amazing.. and mind boggling variation is attained
to build the different themes of different perspective.
Truly speaking one of the vivid album of modern times. With 18 vibrant tracks and using only fresh
and upcoming artists this album has yielded a modernistic innovation.
The story has synonymous characters from Bengali novel Devdas but is totally different in its story-boarding and presentation. The content is highly matured and realistic in accordance with current social scenario. The most spectacular accomplishment of the story is the flow and continuity. Its simply makes you wonder as the way it begins, it turns, shifts and ends...
Abhay Deol has rendered one of the finest performance as the protagonist Dev and with the breakthrough of this magnitude he has entered the elite class of actors in recent times. Mahie Gill shows the truthful inner feelings of a full grown village girl Paro.. towards the social taboos of rural or sub urban areas.
spontaneity in the their portrayal.

Now for the verdict :
Rating -> 9 / 10
Yes... The rating may seem a bit elevated but a bold attempt deserves a bold appreciation. Very strong critics can consider something around 8. For modern film lovers this is a straight 10. Full paisa vasool Cinema.
Abhay Deol shows that he has it in him and continues his family success
journey.
The motion picture editing and sound editing though being very good had a bit of loose finishing at some places. But on the whole being the first flick with dynamic variation and innovation, such minute mishandling are absolutely negligible. And everyone do remember such magnificent experience is a rarity in Bollywood.. so go and watch it before it disappears from your nearest theater.
Viewers Beware : Dev. D is more
fatal than Cocaine..When you take it for the first time either you will love it or start vomiting.
But once you start taking more doses you become a maniac.
And then with more .. appreciation will be transformed to pure madness.
As a matter of fact I am suffering from this madness already after
watching it consecutively for four days and still not satisfied.
Yeh dil maange more.
Statutory Warning:
Extremely Dangerous ! Keep out of reach of children.
Strictly for modern matured minds...
